Join us for Torch Lake Protection Alliance’s Annual GEM Event. You and a guest are invited to join us for GEM, our annual Greet, Educate and Meet the board event. There is no cost to attend and coffee, juice and pastries will be served. This years speaker will be Steve Jessmore.

He will use his photojournalism and storytelling skills to tell the story of the birds he photographs. His photography entries swept the professional division of the 2021 and 2022 Audubon Photography Awards, winning first prize both years. His winning pictures were featured on the cover of the Audubon awards issue magazine. Most of his work comes from the Torch Lake/Torch River area. We will also have an update on the progress of our USGS project. Monitors have been placed in strategic spots on Torch Lake, with more to come. We are at the start of our quest to find answers to why Torch Lake is changing. The meeting will be held at the Torch Lake Township Hall, 2355 US-31, Kewadin, MI 49648 on June 10, 2023 starting at 9:00
