Wayne, a retired university professor, has spent many summers at his family home on Torch Lake fishing, playing pinochle and sitting near a blazing fire pit and now wishes to contribute to the Torch Lake Protection Alliance in its efforts to preserve all that’s great about Torch Lake.

Tom, a graduate of MSU Honors College, had a lengthy career in Consumer Finance. He is privileged to be the newest TLPA Board Member, and looks forward to helping preserve and protect this unique treasure we share.
Lewis K. Loss
Lew spent over 40 years as an attorney in private practice in Washington, D.C., before retiring in 2024. He now lives with his wife, Gretchen, on Torch Lake in Alden. Lew enjoys time on the lake, golf, pickleball and a wonderful circle of friends in the area. He supports the TLPA mission to preserve and protect Torch Lake for future generations.

Norm, a retired General Motors engineer, cherishes living at Torch Lake, serving as the TLPA board advisor, and creating lasting memories with his family at their lakeside home.

Lee is a 60 year veteran of the soft drink industry and has owned property on Torch Lake for more than 30 years. He values the quality-of-life benefits TLPA provides to lakefront owners.

Torch Lake has profoundly shaped his life. For his family, Torch Lake is far more than a beautiful destination, it’s home, a source of inspiration, and a place they’re committed to protecting for generations to come. Vijay became a member of TLPA in 2025 after visiting the Alden Day’s TLPA booth and became a board member in 2026.
